Looking Forward to Go Home

It has been a great day, until this morning around 10am. When I got the news thatwe are to pull out of hole due to equipment failure while drilling. I was kinda of dissappointed because I was planning to fly out of the rig on 6th August 2008. I hope I still can make it.

I know that everytime, I go offshore in such a short notice, or delay in returning home. I am sure to get my my darling "SM" upset. I do feel that bad about it. I pray that the job is going smooth. It bring fear in me just to tell her ' Dear...hmmm...I cannot be home on bla bla bla".

I heard that my dad is doing well in his operation. He had to go through an eye operation. Hope that he is well and speedy recovery.

Do you know that....

The founder of Coca Cola " John S Pemberton" died because of stomache cancer. Not by too much of drinking cola but because of the alcohol and morphine addiction. Poor guy had to sell off his company's share because of the addiction and lost everything.

Losing Track of TIme

Wow, I did not realise that it has been ages since I update my blog. I totally forgot about the existence of my blog. A lot been happening around me that I just lose track of time. The travelling does not excite me anymore. The adventure of offshore life seem unbearable but good income.Good luck to all the newbies working offshore.!!

Well..I am currently on board "Stena Cylde" a semi submersible just off the shore of Exmouth, Western Australia. The Stena Cylde was build in 1976 in Finland. The rig is old but the rig crew is friendly. Food is good around the clock. Can be noisy in the accommodation at times.It has been 2 weeks, on board this vessel. The weather is cool and beautiful. I guess it is winter in Australia. From the forward drilling plan, I should be able to complete my job in the next 4 days and be back home in the arms or my lovely darling and that is what I looking forward to.

My darling have been putting up with my job and me not being around at home. I do appreciate for the understanding and patience. I know that sometime it can be hard to understand my kinda of job but I will try constantly to balance the work and personal time. With the oil price going up the roof, it has not been to my advantage. Nevertheless, I know if we hang on will make it. "Insya-Allah".

Now that we have a new flat, I am happy that atleast we have our own place to be away from all the external distraction. I know that we can't get away from it totally but at least to can do keep to the minimum interaction. The house is almost furnished. Abit deco and accessories, it will be stunning.

Next major issue is the wedding. Gosh...thats a big one. I really do not know how to approach this especially with the mother and daughter relationship that is currently in a cold silent war. Well we talk about this later..I am positive that everything will be good.

Massive Headache.

It has been 10 days, I arrived in a place called Kakinada, Andra Pradesh, India. It seems that the weather here is getting hotter every single day, with the iron dust constantly polluted the air that I breathe.

Today, I got a massive headache. It felt like hang over with a constant throbbing. How I wish that I can chop my head and put it a side. I silently sneak out from my work place and went back to the staff house to have a quick nap with the air conditioning switch on at full blast.

May be I just miss home and my body tells me that it is time to go home. The problem here, I have to complete my 28 days schedule. Damn!!!!!

First Time for Everything

To start with, I am not a " Cyber Tech" guy. In fact, I am just an ordinary joe. I often heard a lot of blogging stories in the internet so why not try. Looking at my girlfriend's blog, to tell you the truth I am impress with the content and intensity of how she put her thoughts across in writing. So why not start blogging? At least you always can look back on some of the memories through internet.

The down side is that it can never be confidential..
